Membership

The Skating Year and membership in the Laurel Ridge Skating Club and the US Figure Skating runs from July 1 to June 30 each year.

Membership to the Laurel Ridge Skating Club entitles you to:

  • USFSA membership
  • Skating magazine subscription
  • Participation in any USFSA testing sessions run by Laurel Ridge (generally held in August, November, March and May)
  • Participation in the Danbury Ice Arena Toys for Tots Show in December
  • Participation in the Laurel Ridge Spring Skating Show in April

US Figure Skating Website - Members Only Area

It is a good idea to periodically check your Profile and Tests Passed information maintained by US Figure Skating. Please go to the Members Only site and log in. You will need your US Figure Skating Membership number and Password. If you have not logged into Members Only area before, Click Here. You will need to fill in your US Figure Skating Number and last name; a password will be instantly emailed to the email address included on your LRSC Membership Application. Log in and follow instruction for changing the password. Note that it could take up to a month for Test Passed information to be processed and posted in the Members Only Area.

(Attention: If you are under the age of 18 or a Basic Skills instructor engaged only in group lessons in a U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills program, you do not need to register at this time.)

2009-10 Registered Coaches - By State

In keeping with the standards of many youth sports organizations, schools and recreational programs in America today, U.S. Figure Skating has implemented a background screening process to help ensure that they are providing a safe environment and protecting the welfare of all participants in U.S. Figure Skating sanctioned activities.

You must comply with this registration requirement in order to be allowed to instruct/coach the following sanctioned activities during the 2009-10 skating season:

  • All qualifying and nonqualifying competitions
  • Test sessions
  • All performances including ice shows, exhibitions, recitals and carnivals
  • Any other sanctioned club activities (includes club ice

U.S. Figure Skating has established a working relationship with the National Center for Safety Initiatives (NCSI), which will provide comprehensive background screening services. The process for screening is simple and generally takes about five minutes. When U.S. Figure Skating receives a
